DETAILS:
This is a paper print of my original mixed media painting "The Ship At Dawn". It was created by hand with my own photography, vintage photographs, nautical charts, newspapers, letters, book pages and tide tables.
The "message" in this bottle is made from cut up, collaged words from discarded books, and reads: "at dawn, the ship is anchored safe and sound in shallow mirror waters -- our sails idly sway.
luminous clouds, bold baners in the morning light feathers pink, old-rose, coral and while join the gulls wheeling above in the breeze. The hot sun, a pale apricot color sparkling at the surface of the sea, that rosy light illuminates the land and water.
looking out over the wet weathered deck, drenched with velvet-sunlight; i face west to the sea's edge. Relentless rhythms of salt spray, surf and sky and rocks around us reclaimed by the emerald tide."
It is professionally printed on beautiful, archival fine art paper and has a thin white border for framing purposes, and is lightly titled and signed on the back
It is available in 8" x 16" and 12"x24" sizes, printed on larger paper so you are able to trim it to your preferred frame size.
